Keys Gate Charter High School is an enthusiastic, organized, and dedicated Head Coach for the Boys & Girls Varsity Golf Program. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the course while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, accountability, and competitive excellence.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the Boys and Girls Varsity Golf programs.
- Develop practice plans and game strategies that promote skill development and competitive success.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team functions.
- Foster a positive team culture emphasizing academic achievement, leadership, character, and sportsmanship.
- Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic department staff.
- Ensure proper care, inventory, and accountability of all program equipment and uniforms.
- Coordinate team schedules, transportation, and other logistical needs with the Athletic Director.
- Assist with program growth, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives.
- Promote and uphold the mission and values of Keys Gate Charter High School Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching and/or competitive golf experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and positively influence high school student-athletes.
- Thorough knowledge of the rules of golf and player development.
- Must possess a working knowledge of FHSAA rules, regulations, eligibility requirements, and policies.
- Ability to successfully complete all required FHSAA, district, and school compliance requirements.
- Must successfully pass all required background screening and employment requirements.
